Tuedon is a contemporary circus artist specializing in aerial contortion straps. Her creations strive to evoke a visceral experience through distinctive visual aesthetics. Using straps as a medium, Tuedon has developed a refined movement vocabulary by continually exploring strength, vulnerability and the human condition.
Tuedon graduated from the National Circus School of Montreal in 2017 and has worked and collaborated with 45 Degrees/Cirque du Soleil, Strut and Fret Production House, Les Sept Doigts de la Main and Arsenal Contemporary Art Gallery. She is currently touring as part of the original cast of the Cirque Éloize creation, HOTEL.
Tuedon’s creative process is largely inspired by a synthesis of post industrial commentary and powerful visuals that artists such as Jean-Michele Basquiat, Frida Kahlo and Andy Warhol conveyed through their art.
Inquisitive and full of laughter, Tuedon approaches life with an infectious positive energy. In addition to her performance career, Tuedon is often found collaborating on creative projects, reading, practicing yoga and penny boarding around town.
